A clown and a video artist. A strange duo coordinated by a curator in the attempt to explore the limitation of their respective "zones of action", with the sole aim of going literally "under cover". Scrape off the surface of relational and artistic dynamics and push their physical interaction beyond the already experimented fields

LEM week 3

A rough summary of the activities that have taken place during our third week of exercise on the figure of the clown at LEM gallery in Sassari. Guests of the week were Stefano Petretto (clown Borlotto) from Teatro S'Arza and clown Mr. Cheese together with Alfredo.

PEOPLE

SONIA BORSATO - curator, she has been at the direction of Sa Domo Manna and Su Palatu, centre for photography, both in Villanova Monteleone. She lives in Alghero.

NICOLA VIRDIS - clown, juggler, clown trainer. He attended the Circus School in Turin, he works for ViviamoInPositivo clown Onlus as a workshop leader. He lives in Sassari.

VITTORIA SODDU - artist, with a strong interest in clown and its expansion outside of the environment of the circus. She lives in London.

the project

A month of almost daily encounters; fixed rules and selected objects; an empty, though full of memory, physical space where to challenge oneself and allow the public to watch such exercise through a video camera. In the era of false-reality shows we propose an artistic operation that aims to undress the artistic process in every passage from one subject to another, in its cracks, leaps and falls.
